A guest’s story

A family trip, in their own words

★★★★★

“I am so glad my family and I booked Andre as our private driver while visiting Cape Town. I knew I wanted a private driver since we were visiting with my 6 yr old son and I wanted to ensure seamless transportation. … Andre was early or on-time for everything. He was already waiting at the airport when our plane landed. … We had him join us for a couple meals because we really liked his company. He and my son even came up with their own unique handshake.”

Frequently asked questions

How far is Cape Point from Cape Town?

Cape Point is roughly 60 to 70 km south of the city centre, about an hour or more each way without stops. Most visitors make a full-day loop: down one coast and back along the other, with stops at Chapman’s Peak, Boulders Beach and Simon’s Town.

How long does a Cape Point tour take?

Plan a full day. Our private Cape Point and Peninsula tour runs for 8 hours, collected from and returned to your accommodation, and can be planned from 6 to 12 hours around your group.

Will we see the penguins at Boulders Beach?

Yes. Boulders Beach in Simon’s Town is home to a colony of African penguins that lives there all year round. We stop there on the way to or from Cape Point.

Are entrance fees included?

No, entrance fees are not included. They are paid at the Cape Point and Boulders gates, which take card payments only, no cash.

What if Chapman’s Peak Drive is closed?

Chapman’s Peak Drive is a toll road that sometimes closes for rockfall, maintenance or bad weather. We check on the morning of your tour and take the other route if it is closed, so your day still works.

Do I need a car to visit Cape Point?

No. There is no simple public transport to Cape Point, so visitors come with a rental car, a tour or a private driver. With a private driver-guide you don’t have to navigate, park or watch the time.

Can I design my own itinerary?

Yes. Every day is built around you. There are suggested routes for Cape Point, the Winelands and the city, and you can mix them or change plans on the day.

How much does a private driver cost?

It depends on the trip, your group size and the date. Choose those three on our booking page and your price shows straight away; then book on WhatsApp in one tap. Hermanus, the Garden Route and groups over 8 are quoted on WhatsApp.
